Painting Stripes in Portland, Oregon
We create a wide variety faux finishes,
decorative painting techniques and Venetian Plasters. One very popular
and beautiful technique is painting stripes.
Painting stripes is one of the most popular faux
techniques. Stripes can add visual interest to any room or space, and
can accomplish a variety of different looks.
In recent years, painting has gained popularity
over wallpaper. Paint is easier to apply, easier to remove, easier to
change, and easier to clean.
Some folks, however, still like the look of
wallpaper, particularly that of a repeated pattern such as stripes.
Hence the popularity of painting stripes.

Here are a few of our stripe painting projects:
Stripes in the baby's new nursery
We installed a new piece of molding before painting the walls and ceiling in
this Portland townhome with zero VOC paint. Then we created the painted stripes
on the bottom wall to finish the transformation from plain white walls to a room
ready for the new baby.
We painted the pink on pink stripes in the girl's bathroom to match the colors
in their bedrooms. We also installed the wallpaper. We generally don't work on
large wallpaper jobs but we do professionally install wallpaper on small jobs.
The painted stripes, wallpaper and fixtures completely changed this bathroom.
Here our Beaverton painting customers wanted to remove their
dated wallpaper and create a new updated look. We helped them pick colors for
the stripe painting they wanted. The different sheens of paint create an
interesting look that changes as you move and throughout the day.
